californian light is the only thing in this city that can make me happy after days and days of endless clouds and fog. and let me tell you, golden hour makes it shine even brighter.
a while back for my ap us history project, i happened to have a creative project. seeing that i still draw stick figures, i still sing like i’m a dying cat and what is even dancing?, i picked something that i know i could at least accomplish. and that is photography! i picked diversity and ran around the city. since i come from the biggest melting pot ever, i was able to pick up several photos. …yet i still received a b. sad.

so, school is finally over. and that is the biggest obstacle that i’ve had from posting photos that are rotting away in a folder. but now, i can post as much as i want. i am terribly sorry for neglecting this for so long! but i’m back. (forever?)

i do not understand the weather in san francisco. the weather man declares a big storm on the television and with this warning, i lug a large umbrella in my backpack. upon arriving to school, the whole campus is bathed in warm sunlight. winds for a whole week? oh, you actually mean winds of heat waves. ..right, mr. weatherman? like a senior once told me when i was a freshman, “never trust san franciscan weather.” it’s the truth.
anyway, i initiated a trip to the beach with my family. we caught some gorgeous sunset light before the sun finally disappeared. i can never get enough of the this light. i feel like san francisco has some of the best light around. or maybe i’m just being biased.

so, i apologize for this long month (or, it may be more than a month!) absence. i’ve been stuck doing piles and piles of homework that no one can imagine. this is aloso the first day where i was able to take a genuine breather. because of such a short week (lunar new year, furlough day, this weekend), i’ll be hoping to post more photos that i’ve been meaning to post for quite some time. since school and i have some sort of unrequited otp that i cannot shake off, these photos may be quite old as well!
anyway, aside from schoolwork, i’ve taken breaks by watching a ridiculous japanese drama while rolling in bed and flipping through books that i’ve just ordered through amazon. one being this gorgeous water color travel journal by someone who traveled to kyoto to study sock designing. this is no joke. i highly recommend it. sometimes i actually procrastinate by gazing at some of the pages.
